Japheth is a passionate and dynamic teacher with over a decade of experience, working with actors and writers at all stages of their creative development, from first-timers to A-listers. He's created his own curriculum, teaching professional level classes including Improv, On-Camera Performance, Audition Technique, Scene Study, Character Creation, Pitching for Industry Pros, and more.
His teaching philosophy is rooted in curiosity, play, and emotional truth. Japheth believes great work comes from trusting instincts, understanding story, and learning how to take creative risks without fear. He creates a supportive, high-energy environment where students feel challenged, seen, and excited to grow. Alongside teaching, Japheth has built a wide-ranging Hollywood career. As an ACTOR, his credits include Modern Family, Criminal Minds, NCIS, CSI: Miami, Dexter, Heroes, and Grace and Frankie. As a WRITER, he developed original projects at HBO Max and spent years as a writer at Disney, contributing to major studio films including Moana 2 and Zootopia 2. That real-world experience allows him to guide students with clarity, honesty, and firsthand understanding of how the industry actually works, both on set and in the writers’ room. |
